Objective

On this sprint we will be focusing on us main reviewing our project and putting a plan together for us to move forward with the role working together.

Our design team will be getting into the game engine and our programmers will be supporting the game engine as well as the project building process.

On our last sprint we where able to figure out the bug that was stopping many people from viewing it.  On this sprint we are looking to get an installer setup to handle this issue.

@Anthony Wow excellent thank you.

As for the asset delete it will delete any item in the asset source folder if it is not in our system attach to an agenda.  This is to keep our system clean of junk when we remove an asset and replace it etc etc.  It is 100% automated so the sandbox folder will have to be used for any testing of source files by the programmers not developed and put in the website as an asset that isgameable.

I just rolled the change the automation server made so all of the assets are back in place. I also zipped up my local assets folders and uploaded it to the 'sandbox' directory for you. The file is 'SourceAssets.rar' and its the 5 assets the server keep deleting.

Also, Dren and I just had a meeting about using the windows installer files and I think he now has an strong idea of how to use and implement the setup in visual studio.

@Anthony that is because it is not finding those asset as agenda asset they are directly in TFS with no asset on the website to record them.  I will get those uploaded as soon as I can work has be a bit busy at the moment.  I'm thinking tonight or tomorrow night at the latest.

I've tried directly from Visual Studio, that was the error that I got, after building from xenko, compiler errors were gone, but this time I got a 'black' screen.

Negative. You should see a logo screen that is white with logo in the upper right corner in black text then a splash screen then the login screen

Sounds like you have a compiler issue from the errors below

Also try compiling your project straight from visual studio instead of via Xenko. Sometimes Xenko has issues compiling where as visual studio will work using xenkos compiler.

@James sure, I'll try that out.

I've also found that we'd need the following dependencies from users:
- .NET Runtime 4.5 (4.5.2 is only necessary for editor)
- DirectX Redistribuable
- Visual C++ 2013 and 2015 redistribuable (x86 and/or x64, depending on how you restrict your final executable platform).

BTW: I think I'm not receiving emails either. =)

@Anthony I was able to get the terrain to render and it looks awesome thank you. 

@Programmer I don't mind putting asset into the system so we can track them.  With that said lets create a folder in TFS under the asset folder for all asset not included in our system so we know what is and what is not included.  I have created this folder as "Sandbox" so any file we use for development lets put in this folder.

will make an installer you just have to configure it. You can configure the prereq's and make it download and install them on a users computer if it doesn't  detect them. I think this is the more convenient option of all the installs since it can be added to the solution and then uploaded to TFS. Then it allows any one at any time to compile and update an installer.

I got the same error you did about the resources. I just uploaded the files to TFS so it should work if not let me know.

@Dren What idea do you have for an installer for our team that will allow us to have dependency programs etc installed with it like the "C++ Redistribution 2015" before our game is installed on their system?  Here are a few idea I found on google but I am not sure if they would also allow us to install other applications with ours.  Can you test these as well as any other installers you can find to get us a solution please.

@Johannes we need to get you up and going with the game engine this week.  Last we spoke you had the game engine installed correct?  So lets get you into our source control for the code so you can download and updated as needed.

@Programmers Ok now that we have discussed the layout what I am going to do is move the Terran folder into the Logic folder so any thing that has to deal with a specif area will have a folder, and any global classes will be in the root of the Logic folder.  We will continue this pattern moving forward.

@Programmers When reviewing the code I found the following issues with compiling it.  I notice that some of the assets like "Water.jpg" are not uploaded into an agenda.  So all the images here need to be uploaded to an agenda in order to be in TFS we dont want to put asset directly into TFS because our Automation System does this for us based on the agenda.  Here is a sample of an asset that is automatically inserted into our TFS.  You will notice it is set to "IsGameable".  We do this so that when these asset become outdated or we switch assets out the system handles them and we can keep track of what is really being used in the system and what is not.  Also as a helper you will find a reference to all assets built daily in our TFS asset folders "\Game The Last Stand\Asset\Source\Asset Report.html" this will give you a complete list of all assets in TFS.

Welcome, everyone, to another sprint. As we push forward in our project, the challenges we conquer as a team, absolutely amaze me.  With that being said, lets get started :).

Does anyone have any comments, questions, or concerns about the agenda they are assigned too?  If you need your agenda defined better or you're not sure where to start, please post on the kanban discussion any questions and we can start figuring it out as a team.
