I subscribe to blender cloud in order to be able to watch the tutorials. They are broken down into may small videos which is easy enough to follow. However I feel the challenge is to know what technique and when to use them will probably be the most difficult when doing our own project modeling. This I'm sure fades with experience but the time and effort to get to that point is rather daunting. I will press on this is not the first time I have modeled before but it has been a long time since I did it last. So these video do help refresh my memory.
I think looking at our team dynamic I will be doing a lot with this. First I will start off with just place holder models to get them as assets into the game and try to get a level functioning with the programmers. The good news with this is as I am a programmer I can see the benefits of being able to modify code as needed to help with the game as well as give very details information about problem I might run across.
On a positive note our project is pushing forward the new chart on the console page help with understanding where are focus points our. We still need another 2d artist but I think we can manage for now until a few models are created.
