Hey @james Can you review this for me.  Every *  pay special attention cause im confused or need more info.  more information is in  (   )  Also feel free to provide any information you think would be helpful.  whether it is or not I would rather have to much information than not enough

UNITS COMEPLETED OR PLANNED FOR PROTOTYPE!

Tank  (t 54 model)

Marine (Infantry MOS 0311 Model)

Bulldozer (JCB HMEE Unit Model)  (Used to create buildings)

Boat  (USS Cushing DD 985 Unit Model)   (water unit)

Submarine (USS Annapolis SSN760)  (water unit)

Helicopter (MD 500 Defender Unit)  (flying unit)

Plane/jet  (F4 Phantom II)   (flying unit)

BUILDINGS COMPLETED OR PLANNED FOR PROTOTYPE!

Command center  (Base of Operations.)

Shipyard Structure (creates boats)

Armory Structure (Used to make research.  (buff units or buildings)) (Possibly used to create soldiers and tanks.)     *

Power Generator Structure   (Used to create power.  (Power is a resource for how many buildings we can support))  *

POSSIBLE UNITS  (Please confirm!)

Model Dv-15  (Boat???)

Q-5 jetfighter   (Jet???)

F-35 (Jet??)

(starting to think these are for a previous game so I stopped looking this far.)

Yes this looks correct for starting units & structures.

The following units will come at a later time along with 100s more.  Our purchase business model will be that they buy these models as they earn points in the game.

Model Dv-15 (Boat???) - Later
Q-5 jetfighter (Jet???) - Later
F-35 (Jet??) - Later

Okay so in regards to the armoury structure what is the planned purpous for the prototype?

The armory will be for upgrades to ammo types and other equipment.  No units will spawn from this building just different upgrades only.

Awesome!  Ill adjust that.  Okay so what structure or how are the actual infantry units spawning and vehicle units?   Im assuming we will have an airstrip for air units.  like the water units shipyard.

I understand we may reuse a 3d model for these structures.  I also am anticipating that most of the unit generating structures will share similer UI  logic especially for the basic one we are generating now but that information is still useful and i want to log it.

The structure when clicked on and a unit is created will spawn right next to the building that produced it.  Later on we might set way point fro them to travel too but for the prototype just right next too it in valid location.  Now this does come with a bit of trivia because like aircraft can not just sit on the ground so for these we might take the way "Rise of Nation" does it and make it so you click the airbase to get your aircraft.

Have you played "Rise Of Nations" it is a good reference to what we are aiming for.

The building and units we have been working on gives us a unit and building for every situation land, air, and sea so we can test with.

No i have not played  "Rise Of Nations"  Actually i was going to ask you for a recomendation on a decent RTS for me to play.  My experience is limited to fantasy and history RTS and to be honest i was never a fan.  So its necessary i play a few.  Is  "Rise Of Nations" a good one?  If you have any I want to play something to inspire me while we create Armament.  So please if you know of if i should play rise of nations or is there an even better example?

No I think Rise of Nation would probably be the best one to what we are trying to achieve.

Okay I will figuire a way to obtain that and ill check it out.  Okay well for now thats all my current questions.  I will refer to this forum thread for Information on the UI/UX agenda for the Armament prototype

Thanks james

We should probably get a list together for what terrain models we need.  Thoughts?

Yes i have already created that list.  Ive been working on it when i have been able too.  Let me get that information more readily available and ill post that.  Where would be the best place for that information to be?   Probably a new forum discussion given that we are going to be going over that information more than once?

yes that sounds like a plan.
