The Last Stand Level 1 Concept

Ok I will open this discussion up.  Who else has something to add to this based on the story, GDD, or other.

From what I know the following should be true if not let me know.
Who:
  • List of character here would be nice for modeling needs for the first level
What:

  • What does the level need?
    • Terrian
    • Character Assets
    • Environmental Assets

When:

  • Noon with clear sky
  • Mildly warm day

Where:

  • Earth Environment.
    • @Matthew what is the first area the story takes place as far as a battle?

How:

  • Free for all Death match
    • Let keep it simple for now until we get the map completed.

The first area of battle is the approach to the grounded CFM ship. Like most of earth, the terrian would be desert like. Also I was under the impression that theater 1 battles would be PVE sine they are heavily tutorial. Could a deathmatch work with everyone trying to free Jacks?

@Matt All tutorial will have a separate area just for tutorials.  After we have the game we will figure out what tutorials should be created for players because it would be hard to say this is how it is when it will probably change.

Right now our focus is on game play.  In every round we will be killing each others mechs.   Once the physic etc are figured out for that we will move to objective base map winning condition such as how to play with jack.  We will have a few different map objective base of the story and GDD.

So the desert will be map one then I will start looking into an asset listing for this.

Right on-so for at least the first part of the story,there will be a tutorial/mission/story mode and TDM? Personally that sounds awesome.

Yes by the time we are done I think we will a lot of mode / campaigns for the game.  However we need a starting place for testing.  So here is the first level as it stands now.  Any other concepts etc speak now.

Who:

@Fenix- go ahead and post what you have on the wiki "Theater 1 Characters". Please use the format provides in the wiki description.We will measure the teams reaction to the characters and adjust anything necessary from there. Great work.

Writer how many character do we have right now?  Let get them posted so I can review them and make mech classes out of them.

I think we have 2 for sure and a third in the immediate future. Hoping for at least 5 by this Sprint's end. getting them on the wiki is the next step.

@Fenix Everyone can post to a wiki page as long as it is not checked out. All you need to do is click the "Edit" button when you are looking at it. It will tell you if it is checked out so that only one member can check it out at a time.

@Fenix- Carriage is how the person carries themselves-are they slouched?Do they puff their chest out?do they slink around like a thief or walk with confidence and charisma?Go ahead and post what you have the meets the criteria of the format.The other details will be used in the story line and so,at this point aren't needed by everyone.
