@Team So to recap the last two weeks we had an est of 76 hours which is 38 hours per two weeks.  Out of this we completed 71 hours in total.  The progress that was completed last week was great we have a Logo, Splash, and Login screen for out team now.  During this next week we/I will be working to try to get build out for all platform Win 7,8,10 Android 5.0+, Xbox One, PS4, iSO our current mission with these is to get them build with the basic for now to show our GUI.

@Sean I wanted to put the music in this go around but we need to focus on the API call first to separate the code from the game in the programming.  Once that's done we will have an agenda to start putting sound into the game.

@Mel Great work on the loading splash page the image also like the sound has not been imported yet but we will do that on the next sprint as well.  Once the build for everyone to see is done we will sync these items back up.

Ok everyone has their agenda's assigned now, please have a look and check the est time.  If this works for you great if not please let me know so I can adjust it.

@Everyone The new changes to the sprint discussion have been made so it should not spam everyone every time a new post is put in if you have not seen the first one yet.

If you have any issue or see a problem please let me know this was a pretty big change for the forum and communication system.

Thanks,
James Fleming

@Team Ok everyone that responded to the PM is now on this sprint.  Can I have everyone look over your agenda's assigned out and lets open the floor up to getting them started.  What obstacles do you see that will stop you from completing or getting started?

Thanks,
James Fleming

@james thanks for getting that email fixed.

I plan on completing my agenda by Friday

@Team We have some question that need to be answered for the game design document (GDD) if you would like to participate please join us on the forums

Thanks,
James Fleming

@Team-I am currently writing out the rest of chapter 1.I am writing a long version(this is for me-it helps me emotionally attach to the story and gives me something to work with) as well putting it into a comic format.Just wanted to let you know that I am working and not just twindling my thumbs :)

If it would be helpful or interesting, I can keep posting both versions.

@Matthew What changes you make please post them to the wiki chapter 1, chapter 2 etc

Thanks,
James Fleming

@ team we are half way through, how is everyone doing on their agendas?  Are we logging in our hours and updating our progress?  Hope everyone is having a good week.  Keep up the great work !!!

I will be starting mine tonight and think I will have it done by 6 or 7pm Kansas time. I've also been working on a piece of music that I just ran with, hence the delay on my piece, but I'll get it done in time :)

Per conversation with James, a basic button for login will be completed by Thursday or Friday at the latest.

@Team-I am finally finished with chapter 1.

@James and Melisa-I seem to be having trouble posting to the sprint, I've submited a couple posts and it went through but wasn't visable a little while afterward. Also,I am not assigned to chapt 2 this sprint and so I haven't added any time yet.I'm not sure where to go to assign it to myself. Also do you want me to write the wiki for the cataclysm that predates the story itself?

@Matthew If you are still writing for Chapter 1 then we need an agenda for Chapter one this sprint to add your time to correct?  I would like to get chapter one done completely so we can move on.  So if you are still working on it lets finish it now so we don't keep going backwards.

Thanks,
James Fleming

The build is done however the project has taken a turn for the worst with a corrupted csproj file and sln issue because of the modification to try to get win 8 app store and win phone to work.  You have to have windows 8 to run these it would seem so they have been exclude out for now.  I will fix the project so it runs tonight and try to have a build by Saturday post on the "The Last Stand
Build & Notes
".

Thanks,
James Fleming

@Melisa will you please review Sean button clicks for me and approve it if its good to go.  I need to focus on the build and the other stuff for new members we been talking about tonight.

Thanks,
James Fleming

@Sean it's been approved, i liked click 1 for basic and click 5 for things that would be repetitive.

Great stuff Melisa, thanks!

@James-chapter 1 is done.Chapter 2 is what I had questions on in terms of adding time.I have tweaked both to the best of my ability.I am unsure what else you want me to do.I have created a wiki for chapter 2 which needs approved before I can close it out.

@Matthew Ok so you need an agenda for Chapter 2 then and not one right?  Sorry I've a lot of project working at once make sure ends meet.

Thanks,
James Fleming

@Team The build for this project is done now and working.  I will upload it tomorrow with instruction on how to review it on your own device.

Thanks,
James Fleming

That's awesome news James

@James -I just need the agenda for chapter 2 approved unless that is something I can do myself.I'm sorry if I came across as impatient. I know you are buried trying to get this organized and so on.

I'll write a wiki on the cataclysm  (this isn't designated as part of a chapter )and some ideas that wouldn't come into play until later.

@Matthew Ok that agenda was adjusted.  Is that all you need?

Thanks,
James Fleming

@Team The build has been updated in the build & notes section.  If you have any question let me know.

Thanks,
James Fleming

@James
I uploaded the video, a review would be great.

@Johannes I will not have time to really give this the attention it needs until Sunday I have to work pretty much all weekend and when I review this I want to be able to give it 100% of my attention so I can give good feed back to you.  Lets close out your agenda for this sprint and any modification to it we will address on the next sprint.

Thanks,
James Fleming

@James
Sure no problem. I hope it's good enough. If not I fix it no problem.
P.S: Where do I find the built  of the game? Can't find a download link.

@Johannes It is on the console screen on the right under "The Last Stand
Build & Notes"

Thanks,
James Fleming

@James-Chapter 2 wrapped up and submited

@Matthew I will will have to do reviews tomorrow.  I have to work today.

Thanks,
James Fleming

@ Awesome-let em know if the story is evolving to fit the needs of game.My biggest concern is cohesion between story and gameplay.

@james you can look at johannas submission sunday and i will look at Matt's

@Lisa & Mel Will your two agenda be ready for review by 6PM today?

Thanks,
James Fleming

I will have the button to you tomorrow, I was having photoshop issues this evening and continue to run into difficulties. I will work on this again tomorrow afternoon and get something in for review.

Hello everyone great progress on this sprint was made by everyone.  It is taking me a bit to review everything that has been submitted to set up the next sprint.  As soon as I get thought it all I will post any feed back on here and setup our next sprint for 7 days.

So we don't get burned out on the sprints we have elected to take 4 days off between each sprint.  This should give everyone time to handle things outside of TC and anyone that fell behind on the sprint to catch up.

Until the last sprint says completed at the top we can not move forward.  So if you review it and someone on the team is having a problem if you can think of anything to help them forward that would be great.  We are a team and we move as one.

Thanks,
James Fleming

@Johannes It looks like a good start to the concept of the commander as a focus point.  I think we need to turn our attention to the combat as well.

You have down AP as a stats which does not make since as the game will not be turn base but more live game play.  I am assuming this is only for the board game prototyping.

Power Ups and Buff are these the scavengers in the GDD?  We don't want things just laying around IMO but more on the lines of you have to work to get them.  So killing scavengers and resource mining.

This is more or less map control type game play which is fine we can start with that to give them motivation to get out there and do something

We want this not to be a "luck" game or as little as possible.  The tactic should come in not only in player skill but also in many other variable like map positioning, commander skill, or team skill as a unit.

The idea that players earn money for the command is a great idea I like it.  Instead of working for themselves they work as a team to strengthen the commander abilities etc.

What software are you using for the video editing?  I been using windows media thing but it does not allow for text to be inserted into the videos.

Ok in closing we have a lot of stuff on the GDD right now that would take testing and things such as under game play calling in a bridge so mech can walk across.  These feature of the game I think we should maybe have another wiki page with the extra idea to the game to cut the GDD down in size easier to manage that way.  At this point I will give it some more thought but that will probably be the next steps for agenda.

Nice work on the prototyping!

Thanks,
James Fleming

@Nick Nice work on the separation of package and application.  I think the next steps are going to be giving you what I have and merging these two sln & csproj into one.  We will work like that from now on so that we don't have two projects for The Last Stand.  Once that is done I want to take all the new assets background images, button images, and sound effect and get them all working on the login screen.

Thanks,
James Fleming

@James
Thanks for the review.Prototyping a non luck based real time combat would have been too hard to test, the combat was just like this because of the board game.
Positioning and abilities was the main focus Ive tested in combat.
I've used a GoPro and windows movie maker, the short description where made with pictures I have edited.

I think my next step is to continue with the gdd. Then I make the changes to the board game as well and continue prototyping, but I will make these tests mostly for myself and give you the results. Explaining the rules all the time and creating videos would require too much time.

@Johannes Sounds good I do want to split the GDD up into core game ideology and basically a would be nice to have into two separate wiki.  Also we need to update the GDD the team uses.

Thanks,
James Fleming
