Objective

We need a tank created in the Voxel art style.  The Asset should use the default color pallet [HERE] with unique patterns/stripes/ribbons of the player color placed.

Be sure to follow our standards for models Here

And we need this model animation ready as well so all moving parts need to be separated in order for an animator so assign a rig.  Follow the steps Here

While we want impressionistic and minimalistic approach review references to try to portray detail

Example

Use the M1 abrams as inspiration and name.

Complete Task
1.50 HR.
Model progress close to complete, with
variations.

0.50 HR.
Finishing the last touches and submittion more photos for
to review, so I know I have the specs straight.

Particularly:

What parts move?  Turret? Gun barrel?

I still need to look at the markings you made,  I put the latest up
just as a quick example.

Are these markings supposed to be used in the biege swatch?
Is that the player color?Experimental Markings 1 Front

Here are some screenshots of the Abrams tank.

Most examples I saw were tan, some green.

Preferences?

In these examples the colors do not represent a final product, but rather an aid to view the geometry.

just so you read this first, these colors are

for aids in viewing geometry

@daniel that looks great!

hello,

Please excuse the delay, no problem on less
detail.  I had a flu bug.  I have copies of both
versions.

oh, and then I'll address:  "with unique patterns/stripes/ribbons of the player color placed,"

Those look great are they almost ready for turn in?

some polys in the wheels can further be eliminated, but it wouldn't be much so I left it for now.

So:

    What parts can move?

    The turret?

The guns or just big canon, or neither?

    thanks

def almost ready to turn in just need to know
those things listed
and:

what about striping or markings for players?
I'll have some on the next send.

Here are some w/ MARKINGS.

I duped a color and moved it into the grey slot
at: Top row, position 3, if reading from right to left, underneath the "1" on the color pallette.
I don't know
where you would want me to put the color for
the players.

I notice there is a beige square in position 1. top row.  Is that the player color?

thanks.

ok, sorry about that, 1st color is player color.

just need to know which parts are moving.

We only need the turret to move right now.

@daniel all moving parts need to be separated.  If its going to be animated at some point.  Use your best judgment here, turret, tracks, wheels, gun etc

thanks

How do you parent in the outliner in blender?
I know how to parent it in space.  I just can't seem to get this to drag in the outliner.
thanks
