Project: The Last Stand
Role: Game Programmer
Completed By: 16317.12 1stLt James Fleming Lead Game Producer
Created: 6/19/2016 13:57
Forum: Sprint Discussion
Objective
With the change in the automation system, the 'Texture' folder in the Assets is now empty. All the background textures are in 'isGrabable/Texture'. With this change to the file structure, we need to reset the background images in the gui scenes.

Also the login scene needs an update. We added a login server code to the login scene that allows us to check against a database for user and password. The login server is not live and so we cannot log in and need a button to skip from the login scene to the console for testing purposes.

Anthony,

I'm sorry my boss kept me at work our server went down so we had no internet until now.  I would like us to discuss the project code base would you be open tomorrow evening at 7PM CST?

You might review the Application branch so you can see the structure it is taking on.

Thanks,
James Fleming

I assume you got busy. Let me know if you're still going to be available for a bedroom

Thanks,
Anthony Michelizzi

Let get into a meeting tomorrow evening if you have time and discuss the tfs layout. Does 7pm cst work for you?

Thanks,
James Fleming

It kept giving me an error on uploading the application branch. And then delta gave me fits trying to merge and I had to redo my work and clean up. It's working now. It's an exact copy of my computer in delta branch. Now would be a good time to recreate application with delta branch
Thanks,
Anthony Michelizzi

@Anthony I had not messed with delta yet to match it to application branch so I was planning to delete it and recreat it. What happen that made it frustrating?

Thanks,
James Fleming

After WAY to much work. Delta branch is now a replica of the branch I have on my computer. This works. Also it has the application project files so we can copy it to application. This was way more complicated than it needed to be and tfs kept wiping changes I did and it was really frustrating.

Thanks,
Anthony Michelizzi

Awesome ! I will be creating an agenda to change all audio files to their respective types. -Robert

@Robert Excellent the automation imported the mouse click into the Application branch of our source control without a problem.  Once one of the programmers or myself merge the main branch into the delta branch you will see it in Unity.  I plan on that being done sometime with in the next 7 days from now depending on how long the folder structuring takes me to do I mention in the wiki post earlier.

Thanks,
James Fleming

No objections
Thanks,
Anthony Michelizzi

@Anthony I want to start arranging the project files to match the wiki I shared earlier on this forum do you have any objection to its layout?

Thanks,
James Fleming

@Robert Can you pick a button click out of the sounds we have for a global click noise for the game please and set it to isgameable.  Once you have done this post the link to the asset here so I can find it in our source control I want to make sure everything is matching up like it should with our new asset type.

Thanks,
James Fleming

@Team I have started a wiki on the structure of our Unity game engine for physical files, source code, and hierarchy tree.  If you have any question or concerns let me know.

Thanks,
James Fleming

Welcome, everyone, to another sprint. As we push forward in our project, the challenges we conquer as a team, absolutely amaze me.  With that being said, lets get started :).

Does anyone have any comments, questions, or concerns about the agenda they are assigned too?  If you need your agenda defined better or you're not sure where to start, please post on the kanban discussion any questions and we can start figuring it out as a team.
